General Process

  • ALL ITEMS MUST COME FROM A SMOKE-FREE HOME

 

  • Four Boxes/Crates limit per session (unless pre-approved by MGMT for additional amounts)

  • items donated directly to Book Nook Bookstore do not qualify as tax-deductible 

 

  • items for buyback are accepted as walk-in sessions during store hours at all three locations (Aksarben, Benson, and Papillion) and will be reviewed by management outside of store hours (walk-in reviews are currently not available, due to high foot traffic in stores)

    • contact the Book Nook via email or phone if those days/hours do not work for you to drop off and we can determine an appointed time (in-home visits are currently not available at this time)

 

  • payment for eligible buyback items include the following: store credit, cash, Venmo, or PayPal

  • items not eligible for bookstore take-in can be:

    • returned to customers (items will need to be picked up in 48 hours after the buyback offer is made)

    • donation to local non-profit organizations (Book Nook will receive no tax credit for this service)

  • What We Do Accept:

    • kids and adults fiction and non-fiction, paperback & hardcover binding (including textbooks)

    • puzzles and board/card games

    • DVDs and Blu-Ray movies

  • What We Don’t Accept:

    • books with excessive writing, broken bindings or missing/torn pages

    • mass-market paperback books (books with sizing 4.25” x 6.87”)

    • magazines or encyclopedias

    • puzzles or board games with missing pieces or excessively damaged boxes

    • loose DVDs or Blu-Rays without cases

    • VHS Movies or CDs

Hello there, Thank you for considering the Book Nook for your Buyback and/or Donations! As you know, 70% of the Book Nook Inventory is composed of previously owned/gently-used items that are acquired through our buyback and donation program.

 

Through this program, the Book Nook is able to give back to a more sustainable community; both environmentally (by recycling previously owned items) and economically (offering more jobs and educational/community benefits).
